Mollo at the Crown and Cushion - 17 August 1999.

by Mike Shaw.

Band Members are:

Simon - Lead singer/Guitarist
Ben - Bass Guitarist
Norm - Drums

Simon and Ben have been in the band for approx 5 years. When they first started out the band were more of a Rock & Indie type band, but more recently they have changed to a more modern dance band. There have been a few changes over the years.
The band originally started out with six members but as the music changed so did the band.
The new line-up have been together for three months, the band with only three members out of the original six have already played at venues such as The band On The Wall and The Boardwalk in Manchester. Simon writes all of his own songs and lyrics.

The gig started with Simon and Gaynor performing two acoustic numbers, both of which were written by Simon. The songs' were: Tell Me Something I Don't Already Know and Wake Up.
After these two songs' the lads started to belt out some great songs. One song that I personally liked was: Make Sure That You Do. I really would like to see this particular song released. All the songs were very well written and performed. And the atmosphere at the Crown & Cushion was Lively.

The band have a gig booked for the 26 August 1999 at The Heebie Jeebies in Liverpool. This should be a good concert, so if you fancy a good night of music go and see Mollo.

If I had to give marks out of ten. I would give Mollo an excellent 9/10.
