This is one of those bands you just stumble upon like a kind of beneficent kama, like a golden ticket bearing Wonka bar you find in the street, a brief rub with the immutable.
The name itself, I can only assume, is a reference to the female vocalist and guitarist. Who, while not particularly diminutive in size, is certainly not big and is blessed with the most beautiful voice. Which just sprawls itself across a tight foundation of hectic jungle drums and a charismatic funk bass. Yet it haunts you, dispite all the energy of the music, it fills one with a kind of energetic melancholy, sublime restlessness. You find yourself feeling bad as the Streets of San Francisco, whilst mulling over the memories of loves lost and all that. It's a weird old thing. So I guess I'll just lower my gold rimmed aviators a touch, drive like a maniac on the streets, and get my camera crew tow to record my feats. A mere guesture I know but one that does justice to the inspiration.
